The Garh Jaipur Rooftop Cafe Has the Best View of Amer Fort

by | May 1, 2026 | Food

When you’re planning to visit Jaipur, there is no way you can miss coming to Amer Fort. In the usual Jaipur itinerary, exploring Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort are all included in the same day. I usually recommend everyone keep one day entirely for exploring Amer, because it is where you can experience the old city, unlike the commercialized Pink City. The Garh Jaipur is one place you can easily include in your itinerary if you plan to stay in Amer for longer. The cafe is strategically located right opposite the fort and offers breathtaking views of the mighty Rajputana architecture.

The Garh Jaipur location

Garh The Rooftop Cafe is located on the terrace of Hotel Moon Stone. It welcomes you to a photogenic environment caught between hills and forts.

If you’re walking into Amer Fort by the side of Maota Lake, you will find the cafe on the opposite side of the entry. The exact address isn’t available, but it is in the Devisinghpura area of Amer.

What did we eat at Garh Cafe in Amer?

The food here is entirely vegetarian with Italian, North Indian, and  Continental options. We ordered hazelnut coffee, nachos, and pizza, and hogged before it got cold.

Nachos and Coffee we had ordered on a cold winter afternoon

We were here on a chilly January afternoon. The cafe had newly opened, and we were among the early birds to explore this place. The sun was about to set, and the evening was soon to get cold.

Just when I thought the view of Amer Fort from the Garh cafe was the prime highlight, I spotted three peacocks waltzing around gleefully. There are plenty of peacocks in Jaipur, and if you’re lucky, you will spot them, especially during monsoons and winters.

When to visit The Garh Jaipur?

The Garh Jaipur is open from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm every day. I recommend you come over from morning to noon if clicking Instagram-worthy shots is your priority. Amer’s view is absolutely mesmerizing because of the proximity between the cafe and the fort. It is also the reason this cafe has seen so much footfall, much like Tattoo Cafe, which has attracted an audience because of Hawa Mahal.

In the evenings, you might not get the best Instagram shots, but you will want to cozy up as it gets cold while watching Amer Fort lit up in yellow lights. However, the fort fully lights up once the light-and-sound show is over, around 8:30 pm.

One interesting thing about Jaipur’s weather is that it becomes pleasant after sunset. Extreme climate in this dry area makes even summer evenings breezy and cool.

What to eat at Garh Cafe Jaipur?

The Garh is famous for its Gourmet Burgers made with in-house patties, chur chur naan, and wood-fired baked falafel rolls. You can’t go wrong with the pesto and white sauce pasta, along with pizzas.

The place has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 on Google, with over 1000+ reviews. It also has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 on Zomato with over 600+ reviews. The cost for two as per Zomato is 1,100 INR.

Our experience with the food wasn’t top-notch, but they’ve surely improved over the past two years. Also, it is noted that their main highlight is the view, not the food.

Staying at Moon Stone hotel

OYO 91591 Hotel Moon Stone is a 2-star couple-friendly hotel. They don’t seem to mention prices online, but this place is hardly going to charge you between 1,500 and 3,000 INR per day for a double bedroom.

I personally felt it was kinda shady, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here. One more reason, besides the quality of the place, is the location. Amer is far from the main city area, and unless I want to spend a lot of time in Amer, I’d prefer to stay near Pink City.
