The Garh Jaipur Is a New Café Opposite Amer Fort

Imagine eating at a cafe opposite Amber Palace to click the most aesthetic photographs. We can do that now from the newly opened The Garh Jaipur.

As soon as we discovered a new café in Amer, we couldn’t resist booking an auto on a Sunday afternoon to come here.

We crossed a lovely red-walled area, zooped our way right by the Jal Mahal, and went straight towards Amer.

Where is it located?

The café is located on top of Hotel Moon Stone. It welcomes you to a photogenic environment caught between hills and forts.

Sections were reserved, and a birthday party was organized with full-on décor.

This showed that you can also book this place for your special events.

What we ate at The Garh Jaipur?

The food here is entirely vegetarian and comes with Italian and Indian options.

We ordered hazelnut coffee, nachos, and pizza and hogged before it got cold.

It was a chilly afternoon in January, and the sun was almost down.

But what I spotted next was something other than what I expected. Three peacocks caught my attention, and I kept my camera on until I saw one of them flying.

When to visit The Garh Jaipur

The Garh Jaipur is open between 8 am and 10 pm. I recommend you come over from morning to afternoon if clicking the best Instagram-worthy shots is your priority.

If you still need to, you can come later at night to experience the beautifully lit Amer Fort.

We came over from noon to early evening and needed help to make the most of both. So, this is a recommendation you’d want to take advantage of.

Consider experience Amer’s light and sound show

We saw a serviceperson lit up a pyre as it was getting cold.

But the warmth wasn’t reaching us because we were sitting far away.

The cold was getting to me by now, and I wanted to return home.

But we waited for 20 minutes more to check if the lights of Amer would switch on.

A waiter told us the Fort would fully shine at 9pm.

I checked Google and saw the Amer Fort light and sound show will continue till 8:30pm.

During that time, several parts of Fort would light up and change their course until the event was over. So, it was time for us to leave.

Moon Stone hotel deets

We walked down and saw artistic wall hangings beautifying the corridors.

The hotel seemed to be an inexpensive place to stay in Amer. But if you plan to stay somewhere in Jaipur, you might want to stay near Pink City.

Amer is relatively far away from all the main attractions. But it lets you be a part of the old charm of Jaipur.

Final thoughts

I love to eat, but I am not a food reviewer or critic.

Vegetarian food served across most cafes in Jaipur have not provided me the best experiences as I hail from Kolkata, a food paradise.

While tastebuds differ from one person to another, coming to place for aesthetics is also a good enough reason for an outing.

If I were asked to rate this place well for food, I wouldn’t give it more than 3.5, but the overall experiences counts.
